My customer asks if the system can be speeded up when he uses a programmed auto dial button. The system is a (square) Merlin Magix and the set is a 4400 type. Sure enough I tried it myself and there is a few second pause before the system dials out.

Any ideas?

Have him program a "#" sign after the last digit of the autodial phone number. The "#" sign tells the system that you are finished. It will speed up the call - only if the delay is AFTER the button is pressed and the autodial sequence engages. If the delay is BEFORE the autodial number is dialed - then I have no solution.
