Slow Development Server Reasons

Hi,

Quick question.

Lately, I've been experiencing really slow page returns from my CF pages on my development machine.

It runs a SQL Server back-end.

Here's my question. I'm running out of hard drive space, so could that be the most likely culprit? Nothing else has changed. I only have ~ 650 MB left out of a possible 800 GB hard drive.

I'm making plans for an upgrade, but thought I'd get some feedback.

Thanks in advance.

Do you have "Save class files" checked under the Settings section in the CF Administrator? Uncheck it. On that page you can also clear the template and component caches (scroll further down on that page).

In addition, I'd run Disk Cleanup on your server (right-click the drive, properties, Disk Cleanup button) as well as CCleaner ( and end with defragging your drives.

See if those things help out.
