Slow CVS ACCESS

Hi all,
I have installed CVS (1.11.19) on fedora core4.
The access to CVS repository from local machine is really fast, but the access to CVS repository from remote machine (same subnet) is slow (using wincvs, using pserver) is really slow.

I have verified the network connections, and I do not feel that’s it’s because of that.

I really appreciate if somebody can help me fine tune CVS.
