Slow connection

We are trying to get to a site that is very slow, When we go via the Proxy 2.0 it is very slow but when we by pass the proxy it is really very fast.

It is actually or
I have checked the allowable setting and I can see HTTP-S port 443. Is this the same as HTTPS. Please what else can i do to get ths wokring fast.
