Slow Component Creation

We have an ASP Website running on a Windows 2000 machine which connects to a SQL Server 7.0 database on the same machine. We are having problems with the Website running very slowly and have narrowed down the problem to COM Component creation.

The same pages run fine on a different machine.

What could be causing the component creation to take so long on the original machine?
