I have a Cisco 2509 which I use as a comms server to access the console ports of my other 2500 series routers. The problem is that when I reverse telnet into any router, it seems to be a bit slow in keeping up with my typing. When I do a show run or show version it is slightly slow in responding with all the text that these two command provide.

Do you know any way of speeding this up? I was thinking of increasing the console port speeds but only the 2509 accepts anything higher than 9600bps.

My Comms Server has only 4MB RAM, will that have anything to do with it?
