We have a Passport 8600 with several 8608SX an GBIC Cards and two Switch Fabrics. After upgrading Software
from 3.2.0.2 to 3.2.2 we have a slow behavior when running ´save config´ or ´show config´. It takes about 30-50 secs
until the switch is responding again in cli. When I move the linkcards out and only the SFs remain in chassis, evertything is running fine
The more cards are in switch the more time it takes until respnding after these cli inputs.
The performance of switching or routing is not decreased by this problem. All other 20 Switches wich have been upgraded as well are okay.
Has anyone already experienced a behavior like this?

What are you saving to(flash or pcmcia)? How are your cpu's
configured(failover or HA mode)?

Do the 20 other switches have the same h/w configurations?
Check the error log(s) for any abnormal output.

Possibly you have a corrupted software image.

Good luck Rick Harris
