Slow backups on local server running W2K and Exchange 5.5

I am running ArcServe 2000 (SP3) with the exchange agent on Windows 2000 Server.

I am getting a slew of problems with this wonderful software.

1. Slow backups are consistently happening, about 30-40 megs per minute on the individual mailboxes.
2. I continue to get asmgr.exe error messages after reinstalling everything.
3. I continue to get Error 8602 messages causing the backups to be incomplete. I have changed the the Antivirus software to Mapi mode so that does not interfere.

Jeff, asmgr.exe errors are usually due to a corrupt job. Soooooo me thinks that the job you have set up with exchange might be corrupt. Try applying the patch for all exchange agent issues found on the CA web site. IT's applied on top of SP3, then rename the 000000001.qsd directory and restart all the engines. Recreate your job, add the prune job (in server admin) and have another go at it. If this doesn't work could you post the whole error message pleeeeease
