Heres a classic. I get slow backup speeds using push agent 6.6. We have several sites all with dedicated backup server (Arcserve 6.61 SP2 and Nw51 sp2). Some clients get 115,000kb/min others as low as 30,000kb/min (both are horrible) going over 100meg Ethernet.

I know Netware performance is going to be worse than on NT both I hear people say they get over 200,000kk/min routinely on similar setups.

Without going into total detail, are there configuration parms that are a "must" in order to maximize performance. We've tweaked just about every parm on the push agent I can thing of...plus the set parms on the NetWare backup server.

Any help would be appreciated...I know the backup speeds should be greater.

Thanks,

ReeveJo

Thanks, I'm using the canwpabd driver but I'm not using CLEAR or unloading the NWASPI driver. Is this the key part or is it the use of the canwpabd driver in general?

Thanks,

Reevejo

Get rid of NWASPI from your C Drive partition and copy CANWPA.CDM located in the ArcServe\NLM to your C Drive.

NWASPI is one of the main bottlenecks!

Good Luck!
