We recently upgraded from Arcservit 6.6 to Arcserve 2000.
After initial testing my thtoughput now is only about 50 meg a minute .

The server is a Compaq 3000 with 128 Meg of Ram connected to a Compaq TL891 with duel drives.

Arcserve 2000 is now on SP3 with another patch installed after SP3 as recommended by CA support.

Ca support also suggested Arcserve 200 runs best if it has 512 meg of ram to run in.

Has anyone else run into this ? I was used to getting 200 to 375 Meg a min. throughput befor the upgrade and backing up my entire environment in 9 hours, now it take anywhere from 20 to 34 hours which is totally unacceptable.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try the backup before application of service pack 3? Also, make sure you haven't put anything else on the scsi card as the backup will only go as fast as the slowest device. Is the backup local or across the netowrk? to a client agent?
