Slow adapter startup in xp

Hi

I'm having a trouble with a Cisco USB client adapter WUSB54GP on an Windows Xp. The trouble is that the adapter starts to late for the logon script to run and therefor the user doesn't get any mappings. Does anyone have any idea how to make it start faster. Is it possible to run the program as a service?

Any other ideas that might work are also welcome.
