Slow Accessing Generic Mail

Hi

Hope someone can help me with this, one of my users access's some generic mailboxes on a remote server and it takes about 10-15 secs to open a mail.
I have added the same databases to my machine and it is fine, hope someone can shed some light on this cause it's doing my head in.

Are you trying to access a DB over a slow link? or is it on your LAN.
