Hello folks!

I am using CR 8.5 with SQL 7.0 DB. My own laptop is reading records vey very very slow. Again, my colleaque's laptop, which is identical, is reading records in normal speed.

What could cause this behaviour in my laptop? Could it be something in CR or its installment? Should I re-install my CR?

Thanks!

I assume you're connecting to SQL 7 via ODBC?
If so, check if your connection is using TCP/IP or named pipes.
If TCP/IP try changing to named pipes. If it helps, then there might be a DNS problem on your laptop or other IP adress resolution issue.

If you're already on named pipes, then change to TCP/IP.

cheers
