When I use a wired LAN to to connect to internet in Vista, I have no problems.

When I use the same router and settings and use a wireless connection I have big problems. The access to secure sites is so slow. For example, access to EBAY login screen is taking minutes and when it does render the screen it is in text mode; no graphics.

I suspect Vista or IE

Can anyone help.

Well, if you suspect IE, have you tried an alternative browser?

Try Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.

Have you looked at the Router as a cause of the problem? If you were to temporarily disable any firewalling in the Router does that improve the Wireless Connection? Have you tried rebooting the Router? There is usually a Reset Button on the Router that will reset set settings back to Default (if you use that you will have to reenter your own settings).

What are non-security sites like from a connection point of view?

Any difference if you test from "Safe Mode with Networking", or from Normal Mode but with a different user?

Have you tried the Netsh Winsock Reset command from an Elevated Command Prompt?
