Hi every one,
I have 7 small offices through out the US, and the Exchange server 5.5 (spk4) is in Florida. All office access to the Exchange server using DSL or T1 line. The problem is that outlook clients at the remote offices will take about 1 to 3 minutes to get the Global Address List or open to read any messages from the server. Especially when they have outlook open then walk away for 15 minutes, come back and click to read a message, it will take them about 2 minutes for outlook to open the message. If they use outlook 2002, on the bottom right corner it will flashing the "requesting data .."
And I am very sure is not the bandwidth issue.
Thanks for any help

When I have had issues with slow exchange servers at a remote site, I have the user at the end point re-authenticate when logging in (even though the user has already logged into the network). This has take care of the problems I have encountered. Change the authentication under the Exchange Services in 2000 or 2002.

How is your network designed? Are you running NT4 or windows 2000? Does each remote site have a BDC? Does each remote site have a WINS server? Are you using VPN's?

Sounds to me like a name resolution issue. Can remote sites ping the exchange server by name?

Thebatman,
you mean change authentication the services in outlook 2000 or 2002. If so change it to what? right now I have it under "password authentication" the other choice are "distributed password authentication" and "none"
Which setting should I use.
Ashleym,
I dont have name resolution problem, people can ping from remote site to exchange server by name.
Thanks
