Hi,

We have a IPS 2000 and one of our slot cannot be used anymore. It is located in PIM 1 slot LT13.No matter what card I use, all I hear is an alarm tone from my phone and 3 LED on the card are red even if no extentions are programed.
This morning I have done a complete shutdown and nothing help.Is there anything I can do to make it work.
It's the only slot with this problem.Everything else work fine.

Any ideas?

Are you sure it is the slot? Have you checked or changed the LT cable or the termination point? This may be a short on pairs. I had a similar problem with a DRU and we tried everything except for cabling. Turns out there was a split pair double punched on the block that was causing the entire DRU to fail. Just a thought...

Check the len number for time slots. Recievers and conf cards suck up time slots from other locations. Command F70 DE len number DE XXYY. If YY = 01 then there is a time slot for it.

My time slot seems fine:
F70>113:00 01 00 081

I have disconnected LTC2 from the mainboard and I still have the same problem.

Why are you using LT13 in an IPS2000? What type of card are you using, I hope it is an Application card? What are you attempting to put in there a phone or a Circuit (ISDN PRI), or CCIS???

Do you have a new IPS 2000 Cabinet or did you upgrade from an old IVS to the IPS2000 Software, but keep the old PIM's???

We have 2 PBX connected together and yes we upgraded from an old IVS to an IPS 2000 but I'm not sure if the second PBX is an IPS.The card is just a normal phone card (PN-4LCD).
LT14 and LT12 are working fine..

You mentioned that your timeslots on LEN 0113 (LT12) was good, however, your talking about a card that is in slot LT13 which uses LEN 0116 thru 0119, correct????

What does program f70 show you for those len's???

In command 10, or 14 - what do you show programmed on LEN 112 - 119??? If you programming a phone, what information are you putting in command 14? Fxxxx or Dxxx or DDxxx. ???
Did this just start to occur? Was this slot ever working?
What was being performed on the system that could have caused an issue. Were you programming other locations or features prior to setting the LT13 analog card???

I do not know if this slot was working before.
I'm just putting a regular analog phone.

I did not perform anything out of the ordinary.
I had a free slot and wanted to put a card in it and found it was not working.

Do you have any other 41xx extensions assigned? Look at CM 200 for 4 and 41

That all looks correct. However, I know you said the card 4-LCD was good. Did you pull the card from LT12 and put the card that your attempting to bring up in LT12 to test the card? Have you checked your jumpers on the MDF and make sure you not splitting a pair. On analog, if you split the pair you will get battery and possibly other tones when connected. The phone should not have dialtone, but it will have battery. Also do you have anything in the slots LT1 thru LT12 that are other then 4 port station cards???? you mentioned that you tried 3 different cards? The 3 lights that are showing are they solid, or are they flashing???
