Hi all
Does it really matter which slot you use first in a 403? Can I start with slot B? Can't seem to find a definite answer anywhere. Any info would help. Thanks

If your using a T1 card it should go in slot B..

Start with slot B for digital cards, for analog line cards it does not matter.

Thank you all for your responses. I was testing different set ups (analog and t1/digital) in a test unit and found the only difference was visual. You get a status light from slot B for digital cards but not slot A. Have not tested with 406 or 412 but may do so later. Will start wil slot B...I like the lights...lol.

Thanks again.

Only in Avaya world would you start with slot B, it's crazy and I have never heard a decent explanation yet :)

Indeed.
Never understood but why understand it, it is just the way it is.
Just like with women, you can not change it, live with it :)
