Slooooow Oracle Back, Access Front

Greetings. I recently completed a database in Access 2000, but we now have more users, so I am worried about connection errors. So I moved the tables into Oracle (what a nightmare) and linked the tables back into Access. Now my forms are slower and often freeze up.

Any thoughts? Advice? This is my first extensive work with Oracle, so maybe I missed something?
