I have a Dell that I have sold in favour of an IBM machine I picked up without an OS. The Dell came with XPP (which I removed before selling it) and I have installed XPP on the IBM and even have the Dell help icon on the Start Menu. I want to slipstream SP2 onto a new CD for future use if necessary.
Can I incorporate the installation key into the new CD so that I don't have to re-enter it when I reinstall XP?
TIA

Thanks, I'll get back to you.

1.) if you wish to do it by hand, then check out this excellent article:

2.) if that is too much for you, then I suggest you get nLite ( with this program you can integrate SP2 and all HOTFIXES to date onto a XP CD, and create an unattended installation... (ergo an installation CD with integrated Key)...
