I am running a sles 9 server on a Compaq dl380 running a 2.4 kernel. The dl380 is a Xeon processor system running at 64 bits. If I upgrade to kernel 2.6-10 which is the latest stable version, will it also be a 64 bit kernel or do I have to go some place else to download a 64 bit kernels?

Are you doing this tru YAST?

If so, you do not need to worry, YAST will pick up 64bit, download it, and apply it. Beware, you must reboot the system once thats completed.
