Slaving drives made my master undetectable

Hi All,

I made a mistake in using an importan machine to slave and format hard drives. I was on the 4th one...all seemed to be going smooth; and then the master was no longer detectable.

I popped it in another box..same thing. I would really like to avoid a re-image here...any ideas or thoughts??

Does the BIOS notice it ?

actually the BIOS does recognize it.

No worries on this one. It comes from a fairly new Dell Optiplex GX270; so it had a diagnostic bootup option; upon running that it failed error code 7; which means nothing to me other than that Dell is declaring it as bad and is willing to send me a new one.

I guess a rebuild on this one is going to be required.
