I'm trying to download a file (from a remote unix system) using ftp.
FTP from, for instance, my workstation works excellent. However from the Slackware machine it hangs.
When I run ftp with hash enabled it begins to download the file but it's slooooow. After a while the #-signs slows down into a complete stop giving me this error.
Netin. Connection reset by peer.
426: Data Connection: Connection timed out
What's wrong?
I appreciate all help. /Sören
