Slackware 10 and tigh VNC

I followed the direction to get tigh VNC to install adn it looks good. I got a long font path but I have tried that as well as the default but I keep getting and error that it cannot find font path. do i need to changes rright to the fonts?
also when i do conenct I just get the TVWM or is it TVM manager to come up...is this related to my issue?
any help would be appreciated
