Hi,

I trust you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year...

I just info regarding the following:

We had to replace a HBC card on the SL8500. When the library IPL'd it does not display the firmware/code level/s... it's displaying "...unknown..."

My quetions are:
Must we start all over to load the code or is there away to transfer all these info from the flash memory, etc...?

What happens if the library is fully congifured, etc...?

BR,

Hi,

I replaced a HBC card, some month ago, and I had the same problem with the firmware showed...

The problem was a incompatibility HBC, (the library has HBC2 card and I used an common HBC card...).

Please, could you send us the part numbers of HBC cards?.

Thanks

Hi, sorry for the late reply - the card only comes with the boot straps installed... This is for regarding the firmware level, etc...

I will update with more info when back from leave.

I am looking for a copy of the service manual - any help?

The library is up and running :)

Hi

I think the manuals are not available for service outside of Oracle Support.
If you have purchased to Oracle the library or have the option to contract the service to Oracle, they can advise you on this question.

Where are the library installed?

Thanks, (and sorry...)
