SL1100 Software Upgrade, now odd characters on displays

Hi.

I have an SL1100 which had version 3 firmware on it. I wanted to add a DT430 phone, and realised I needed to upgrade the firmware. I think I may have done this in haste. I downloaded the PKG file from the internet, and uploaded it via PC-PRO. All seemed OK, the system rebooted, but now the phones displays show odd characters, and the soft key text is missing. Menu button also does nothing other than prompt a cursor.

Either the software was corrupt, or I have downloaded the wrong version? I have realised it was a US version not EU I downloaded. I can connect via WEB-PRO, but no longer through by PC-PRO (Even an updated version).

Any pointers to sort this? Does anyone have a EU version of the firmware I can upload via WEB-PRO?

Managed to find a copy of V6.11 firmware, back to a working system, and the DT430 works too

Umm. Having a read, I don't think this was caused by a corrupt upgrade or incompatible US version. Reading this, it looks like an incompatible update. I am not entirely sure what this means to be honest. This is the readme file for the V7.01 software update. It describes exactly what happened to my display screens.

After downgrading from V7.01 to V6.11 via WebPro, I have since upgraded to V7.01 - This has worked fine.

I think going from V3 straight to V7.01 was the issue. V3 - V6.11 - V7.01 looks to have been the way I should have gone.
