Customer moved, downsized significantly. KSU is equipped for 24 phones. We hooked up 10. Now they want the remaining extensions (with no phone attached) to act as virtual extensions. Outside callers can ring them and leave a voice message. I believe this will work as is, correct? Inside callers will not be able. Should we make these phones C/F Always to Voicemail to allow for the operator to transfer to them?

You will have to assign the extension numbers as virtual extensions. If you leave them assigned to digital ports, you will not be able to transfer to them. You will get a busy signal for an non connected port.

Once they are a virtual, then yes, CF All to voicemail.

Con tel is correct u will have to use virtual extension but you will also have set a key for each virtual extension mailbox to check the VM I believe it is key 77. That will lite the key if someone leave a voicemail in the mailbox. Might need a sidecar depending on how many open keys they have.

Forget the keys for voicemail and just send the voicemails to email.
