Hi.

I would like to assign all extensions to department group one, with a pilot number of 101. I set this up and it works. Dialling 101 rings all phones. I would then like to group other extensions using the second department group option. For example, 2 extensions can be in dept group 2, another 2 extensions can be in dept group 3 etc. Dialling 102 would ring group 2, just the two extensions.

I cannot get this to work. In fact, even when I change the main dept group, it doesn't seem to alter - and then all of a sudden it does. I think I may be missing something.

So, Program 11-07:
Dept Grp 1 - 101
Dept Grp 2 - 102
Dept Grp 3 - 103
Dept Grp 4 - 104

Program 16-01:
Each group named, and 16-01-05 set to automatic (ring all).

Program 16-02:
All extensions given group 1. (even if I change this and upload, the extensions seem to stay in group 1 :-/)

Program 16-03:
Grp 1 - ext200, ext201
Grp 2 - ext202, ext203
Grp 3 - ext204, ext205
Grp 4 - ext205, ext206

Program 16-04:
All set to 0.

Is this all that is needed?

Thanks!

Umm. Odd.

The department groups seem to be one out?

If I assign 11-17-01 as 101, I expect all extensions in dept group 1 to ring.
If I assign 11-17-02 as 102, I expect all extensions in dept group 2 to ring.
If I assign 11-17-03 as 103, I expect all extensions in dept group 3 to ring.
If I assign 11-17-04 as 104, I expect all extensions in dept group 4 to ring.

What I am seeing is with the above programmed is that 101 rings dept group 2, 102 rings dept group 3, 103 rings dept group 4.

Is there a known bug, or I am seriously loosing the plot? V6.11

Cheers.

Ok. I upgraded from V6.11 to V7.01 - This seems to have fixed the odd department pilot numbering, so it now rings the correct groups. The issue I have now is that the groups defined in 16-02 will ring all phones (16-01-05 set to automatic on all groups), but the secondary department groups all hunt, not ring all.

Looking in the manual, it looks like this is a limitation "PRG 16-01-05 (Extension Group All Ring Mode Operation) does not work to a Secondary Department Group."

Is there another way to have a pilot number ring all phones?

Thanks.

Send it to a virtual and place the virtual on a button on every phone. Assign it to ring.

My experience has been that new dept groups require system reset to work.
