Hi has anyone tested the sl1100 phones with the sv8100. The sv8100 phones will work with sl1100 but by plugging in the sl1100 phones to sv8100 I just get error on the screen. Is this a software or wiring thing

Thanks

I've found that when using the SV8100 type phones on the SL1100 that the soft keys need programming as standard, not advanced, as the DIR button doesn't seem to work.

Not sure why you would want to use the SL1100 phones with an SV though - A cheaper option I guess, but the other phones are superior IMO. SL1100 phones seem to get mis-dials quite often.

Agreed Lectrician. I use DT430 handsets on my home SL1100 in most places (home office, living room, etc) as they're much nicer handsets - but you do need to use Standard mode as Advanced Mode (1/2) doesn't work properly.

Still using the SL1100 handsets in the bedrooms though. Not because of cost, but because they have a display backlight (something lacking on the DT430 handsets) and it helps to see who is calling in the middle of the night.
