I have years of experience in the DMS100/SL100 SWITCHING SYSTEMS. I'm currently unemployed and I have an opportunity to baby sit a CS2100 for a month out in California. My question is: Would it be very hard for me to pick up the terminology of the CS2100, under these circumstances? Hope to hear back from someone soon, as I have a conference call scheduled with the company tomorrow morning. 10 AM Eastern time.

Thanks
Ron

from what limited exposure I have had to the CS2100 v. DMS/SL100, the programming was the same, just the front end changed. Like the M1 to CS1K. It took a TDM system and made it IP enabled/ready.

In the places I have seen the CS2100, it is just the front end core equipment that changed. all the expansion cabinets remained the same. I can't see the language changing.

Now that being said, if you have not see the IP programming part of it, that may be different

Thanks John, though I didn't get the assignment, they decided to find someone from the area. Why not in the first place? Anyway, I appreciate your input. Still looking for work in the DMS 100/ SL 100 /5ESS AREA. If anyone knows of a position available anywhere in the country, give me a shout. 240-818-4105.
Thanks
Ron
