SL100 Call Forward Problem

Greetings:

I have an SL100 with an odd problem. A CLEC has call forwarded a number, 555-xxxx, to a phone number, 444-xxxx, on my PBX (DID over T1). This number 444-xxxx is set to appear on phone 123. Phone 123 is call forwarded universally to phone 456. Phone 456 is call forwarded universally to pager 333-xxxx.

Why all the call forwarding? There is a very specific reason which is way too complicated to explain. But the last call forward is to allow the final phone to call forward the number to a pager when the user leaves for the day.

Months ago this was working fine but now the call forwarding does not go all the way through or rather calls to 555-xxxx do not ring the pager and instead just rings phone 456. But if you call 444-xxxx it does call the pager. I've checked the programming on the phones, especially the phone 456 and all programming seems correct. What am I missing?

Thanks for any info!

We are using CFU (call forward universal) allowing the user to answer the phone during the day working hours and then call forward her/his phone at night to the pager.

Sorry, but we need the flexibility of CFU versus CFX. And it did work previously. Thats the rub - what the 'ell went wrong?

More notes:

Let me clarify some of the call forwarding. A CLEC has call forwarded 555-xxxx to 444-xxx1 which I have appearing on phone 123. Phone 123 is call forwarded universally (CFU) to 444-xxx2 which appears only on phone 456. Phone 456 is call forwarded universally to a pager. All our testing was using trunks off our PBX and I just tried calling from my cell phone to all the numbers. Calling 444-xxx1 and 444-xxx2 both ring a pager. Calling 555-xxxx just rings and rings and rings. Calls to another phone next to 456 confirms that the phone instrument just rings.

We've also tried call forwarding phone 123 to the pager and still no luck. Calls from 555-xxxx only ring the phone and do not follow CFU to the pager. What is causing the 555-xxxx to behave differently from the 444-xxxx numbers? It seems like its a problem with the CLEC but...it doesn't make sense. The CLEC is just call forwarding one of their numbers to my number and that works fine. Hmmm....

Additional Notes:

We're in contact with the CLEC for assistance as well. I'd love to say its their fault but I can't visualize how it could be...

Well, this is definately turning into an interesting learning experience.

Kulabird, give me a traver of this and it will make a lot more sense. I will probably want QLEN's next but a traver would be a good start. I assume you know the traver command but if not.

>traver l YOURPHONE 555xxxx b <enter>

post it here please.
