SL1/61C system reboot instructions needed

We are planning on having our data center PDU configured to operate in bystand mode. For this to happen, all systems are being brought down for a couple of hours. We have a SL1 upgraded to Meridian 1 Option 61C Release 24. I do not know if this is a concern or not: the SL1 has an AC power unit in the base, an AC to DC converter power shelf unit on the back; documentation on the 61C upgrade states the unit is DC powered. I have less than 2 wks formal switch training and have been maintaining our system in-house for almost 2 yrs - no vendor support. I saw the posting on shutting down the Opt.61C safely and am using it for a starting point but if anyone has any additional information, it would be appreciated.

just make sure you back up the system before you shut it down.. you know "data dump" (3 discs') also other systems that ride on yourj opt.61 ( mermail,symposium,call pilot,)

You should really have your vendor involved if you have one.
