Hi All,

I have been asked to investigate Skype and using it for making internal calls throughout our global company. Has anyone used it with Citrix via a Published Desktop and further more has anyone had any success using Skype Phones with Citrix.

I'm not looking for solutions here, just trying to get a feel for how other people are doing it.

I tried but didn't succeed yet. Sound quality is poor as I tuned to lower band. Data is more important for us. Remember, there will be a LOT of process overhead as all Voice will be encrypted ! Sounds like in Bond movie !

had sometime and tested a bit. Took away many license as when I close the publishes "Skype" program, it remain active on the server and took away lincense ! No problem of mapping the audio output but input microphone have problem. USB input can't find and tricky. Will not work on Citrix standard version. VERY POOR QUALITY.
Citrix has a hardware box with own VoIP.

Thanks for the posts, we use a fully published desktop here so I was looking to use Skype as an application within the user environment. However I have now discovered that my Linux Citrix Terminals do not support USB phones and having read things about Skype on the net i'm not convinced it's the way to go.
