Skype for Business- Lost voip and video calling after installing plugin 1

Hi All.
I'm bringing this one back since I couldn't find anything in the forums.

I even have a Microsoft ticket open tracing for me.
Problem is voip and video calling disappears after installing the plugin. When I uninstall the plugin they show back up.

Has anyone found a solution or is this another "oops don't use it" from Avaya?

Can't believe you made me search for an email I received in 2014 on this;

o HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator\TelephonyMode
o HKEY CURRENT USER\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator\TelephonyMode

Gave up using the Skype Plugin after realising it disables SfB's ability to do voice and video calling (see above registry entries).

Don't know if things have improved since then.

Either way, check the documents as to the intended effect of installing the plugin.
