I'm having so much trouble with the MS sign-in and can't backup anything to the "cloud" place known as names above.

I want to know if I can uninstall skydrive aka onedrive and have computer still work?
I don't need the hassle of MS sign-in and passwords. Every time I try to login in MS deems my password is not good and I'm forced to do another one even if it has only been two days prior when I changed the password.

If I knew which Linux to get that would work on my laptop, and if I knew how to install the OS, I would go to it and dump W8.1. I 'm sorry I ever upgraded. My problem.

If any of you people can help me I'd appreciate it.

This CNet article explains how to switch your Microsoft account to a local account for Windows 8.1.

Essentially, you go to Settings > Change PC Settings > Accounts > Your Account, click the 'Disconnect' link, enter your current password, enter the new account details then click 'Sign out and finish'.
