I have just run our first schduled overnight backup of a new Windows 2003 Server using Veritas Backup v10.0.

The Job completed fine, expect 2 skipped files
File is in use
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\CONFIG\enterprisesec.config.cch.2636.116906
File is in use
C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\CONFIG\security.config.cch.2636.116906

Should I worry about these files?

Thanks

If they are in use then they will be skipped, i wouldn't be two worried as .net can always be reinstalled.

SIMS server by any chance?

Are you using the veritas open files agent? If not you should be able to tell veritas to use VSS when backing up, this should backup open files. This backs up all data on our SIMS server.

I'd wait to see if it repeatly skips those files, but like i say they can always be reinstalled, as long as it's backing up the SQL DB then you'll be ok. We just rebuilt our SIMS server last month and it only took an hour.
