My video is done, but when I render the finished version is always messed up. it shows that it skips frames when I play back and I don't know why. Heres some specs and if someone can please help me... Computer is an Athlon 700 using Pinnacle DC2000 capture device. 2-128mb ram 160GB raid through scsi. Everything works perfect exept when I render to finalize my movie.

This can be caused by too slow of a data transfer rate from the hard drives. As I recall it needs to be at least 4kbs (kilobytes per second). If you have not defragmented (optimized) your hard drives in a while it is an important maintenance task that needs to be done regularly to keep the transfer rate at its' maximum.

The actual transfer speed is more like 3.6 mb/s for video. Not 4k... oh well. Anyways, with a system like that, it's got more than enough speed to go around. Try looking at your preferences settings and make sure that you're not previewing onto your desktop more than you absolutely need to. *aka: fiddle with the software buttons in that section*
