Is there a way to skip the recorded greeting with callpilot? On my old Octel, you could press # when the greeting started and it would immediately beep for you to leave a message (verizon cell phone mailboxes work the same way). I'd like to do that with the callpilot but don't see a way to configure it. Pressing it now i believe prompts you to change mailboxes (or maybe thats *...). Let me know if this is a possibility. Thanks!

strange, I just tried it and it worked. I think theres a ghost in this machine! It has also started ringing twice and then hanging up for no reason (without answering), despite have all channels free. Another call to the vendor, who of course says "it was fine when we tested it".

Here is the instructions out of the user guide for CallPilot.
"Interrupting greetings
While you are listening to a person’s greeting, you can stop the greeting at
any time by pressing # and then recording your message. This saves time
when you call the same person frequently and do not need to hear the
greeting.
If you call a person who has recorded a temporary absence greeting,
you hear a warning when you try to stop the greeting. This allows you to
continue listening if you want to, or to start recording."

As for the ringing no answer, check your PEP's to make sure they are the latest. Re-boot the CallPilot during off hours.
