I would like to skip all files or directories that end in data*. Look below, I would like to skip any directory that has data in its path and also files that have data in its path. Can someone give me the correct skip directive for this. This needs to be a global directive for many servers. Thanks

`/oracle/123/wildata2/pin_12/ecc_data12

This is not so easy, except if the length of the starting string is always the same.
In this case you could use question marks as placeholders, like in
+skip: /oracle/123/wildata2/pin_12/????data*

Otherwise, may i suggest that you put all these fine in a specific directory which you can exclude.

Hi 605, the starting string is not always the same. What about skipping wildata* and everything below it....the 'wildata2' number changes...probably wildata6 etc.

/oracle/123/wildata2/pin_12/ecc_data12

In this case, i am afraid that you must create a separate directive for each pathname.
