Skillset report to run with different threshold values

We currently run a Skillset report that reports on a threshold set to 25seconds, however our management team want to see what effect it would have if we were to lower the threshold to 20 seconds, therefore they want another report to run with a 20 second threshold whilst keeping the current report with a 25 second threshold.

Is there anyway a second report can be ran with a different threshold value without altering the the threshold values for each skillset e.g get the report to use the 25 second value then minus 5 seconds of the time threshold before reporting.

Or is there a way we can have a different group of skillsets generated so we can set those skillests to a threshold of 25 sec.

Hope someone is able to shed some light on this. If you require any further email or would like the report I have emailing then please let me know

Many thanks Simon

You can only have one threshold value per skillset active at any one time. If you change it you cannot go back in time and run the reports again. The new threshold will start from when you change it.

As you suggested you could create a new skillset with a different threshold value but I'm not sure how well that would work in practice.

One way of have two reports with different values would be to have customised report specially written for the purpose.

You can create additional Skillset Threshold classes with the threshold settings you need. You can then assign the threshold class(es) to the correct skillset(s).

If you know that two skillsets may require different thresholds in the future, it is a good idea to use two separate threshold classes even if they are the same today. That way each group can change their threshold settings without affecting the other.

You are correct to proceed cautiously here. This is one area where people can cover up or "fix" their service level issue (by manipulating the threshold to meet their service level target).

Once you assign the threshold class to the skillset, the data is reported with thoses thresholds until it is changed. I do not think it is retroactive.
