hi,
Could someone pls help to advise how can i go about resolving this error msg:
"Server xxxx: SJI Failure (0x 7): Invalid slot address"

It seems that the autochanger cannot read any tape from this slot. The tape in slot 7 was faulty and i have make a replacement. However, i haven't even label the new tape and the autochanger no longer detect any tape in slot 7 even if we perform an inventory. Even if i perform a reset in the autochanger, it still prompt for the error. We are using autochange and tapes with barcode.

You need to determine if the jukebox is sending the correct data to NetWorker for this slot.

Run inquire. find out what is the scsidev address for the autochanger. (format is scsidev@x.y.z)

Run nsrjb -HEv to reset the jukebox.

Next, run sjirdtag x.y.z.

Review output. Look for slot 7. What is the value of pres_val and med_pres? What is the bar code label? Does it match what is actually on the tape cartridge?

Offhand, I would guess that you still need to fix your jukebox, but these suggestions will help to tell you what NetWorker can see.
