Can anyone give me an idea as to how to properly size a Sun server to handle the amount of non-global zones I may need? Can anyone share a real world configuration handling several zones on certain hardware, including specs on the hardware. I am trying to size a VM server for multiple zones.

Thanks.

A default zone will consume about 228M of memory, although this can be reduced by disabling services that are unneeded.

But that is just memory. How many cpu's you require or slices of a cpu, what software, all of that is unknown and only you can determine that.
