Size od email increases when through MimeSweeper

Afternoon all!

I have noticed that our when we have an attachment which is coming in or going out through our MimeSweeper, and attachment which is normally 9Mb increases in size to anything up to 13Mb!

Does anyone know what the problem is with this, or why this is occurring?

This could be uuencode increasing the size of the email by 1/3.
