Hi

Is there a way that I can see which sites have been visted in the Internet even after all temp files including cookies and the history have been deleted?

Thanks

Pete

Only if you are on a network and you are using a proxy
server for access....then the temp files will be stored
on the server, and sometimes there might be software which
will allow you to see the top10 most hit sites etc....
And if you really want to find out you can always ring your
ISP or phone company and then might have a record!!!
your never safe!! Jay~

Just open Explorer, go to c:\windows\history, and view all you like. Cheers,

How would you go about exporting the history file to an excel spreadsheet or word document?

At the MS-DOS Prompt:
This is just an example. I have a directory named c:\install

Microsoft(R) Windows 98
(C)Copyright Microsoft Corp 1981-1999.

C:\WINDOWS>cd history

C:\WINDOWS\History>cd history.ie5

C:\WINDOWS\History\History.IE5>
C:\WINDOWS\History\History.IE5>copy index.dat c:\install

1 file(s) copied

C:\WINDOWS\History\History.IE5>

Do the same with for the temporary internet files. This one will suprise you:
C:\WINDOWS>cd tempor~1

C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet Files>

You'll need a program to extract text strings from the index.dat. There's one called BinText at:
