Site-To-Site VPN using ASA 5540 v7.0(8) ASDM v5.0(8) doesn't work !!!!

Hi,

i am new in cisco, and i am going to setup a site to site vpn tunnel using 2 asa 5540 firewalls, after i configured interfaces for each firewall (even i tried that using the start-up wizard), i started the VPN wizard and i followed the steps which are available in the documents and every where in the internet, and every thing is locking fine, but nothing is work, from the monitoring section on the ASDM there is no session is up at all,
note: the 2 peers reaches each other using ping.
also when i tried with remote site wizard i can't connect using vpn client.

i think i am missing some thing related to the interfaces, do i have to enable some thing related to Ipsec on the peer interfaces.

can any one give me a hint !!!
