Does anyone have info (tips) on what types of material cause the most interference and maybe some stats to go with it? For example, info on certain kinds of walls, glass, water, etc.. Any help is appreciated.

Walls, glass and water are usually pretty inert, and in themselves don't generate interference. I suspect you're talking about signal attenuation here...

If you ARE talking about interference, then all sorts of devices can produce this! From microwave ovens, cordless phones, arcing thermostats - the list goes on...
