Site survey DECT tool to prepare a deployment

Hi,

I'm looking for a DECT site survey to prepare a deployment as the building is not build yet.
I need to determine the radio coverage and quantity of AP I need.

Does someone know a tool such are made for wi-fi deployment ?

The best site survey can only be done in a fully oprational environment.
If the buiding has not being build yet then you can only do a raw guess for the placing and number of basestation.
By the way, IP DECT is NOT WiFi!

I know DECT is not wi-fi, that's why I'm looking for a predictive tool...

ask for an testset
these sets are great to do a fieldtest
a big battery for the basestation and a dectphone for the signaltest
get a drawing and start testing
make sure that the basestations are not to far away from each other
and if the building is empty then doors etc etc etc will drop the signal with at least 10db !!!
better too much basestations then too less !!!
concreet and metal do give problem
the signal will bounce back from it
basestations should NOT be attached straight on to metal or concreet but at least 25 cm away from it
also do not put a base station above a lower ceiling
to do a site survey costs a lot of time but it pays back
solving problems because of a bad site survey will cost a lot more !!!

I'm use of base site DECT deployment, but my question here is really about preparing sites which are not build yet (such as big ship as I said)...

It's such a special environment (walls and all) that I need a tool to prepare it.

It seems those kinds of software is difficult to find or does not exist...keep on searching...

also a ship is full of metal so i realy should not put dect in a ship
