I just noticed these errors in my Site Status under my primary site: SMS_CLIENT_CONFIG_MANAGER ... and SMS_LAN_SENDER under my secondary site. Any idea what might be causing this or where to look?
SMS_Client_Config_Manager -> Problem with clients that you are unable to reach. Usually, this is due to the fact that the computer does not exist or somehow unreachable. In addition, I had problems like that too if I was having DNS problems (For example DNS scavenging was not running frequently, Computer1 lease IP1, Computer1 was turned on, Computer2 came on and got IP1 from DHCP server, records had not been deleted from DNS Server so it showed both Computer1 and Computer2 with Same IP Address which in turn showed as Kerberos errors in the event log)
SMS_LAN_SENDER -> How many Sender do you have conigured? Go to Site Settings to check for this.
Is there a log replated to the SMS_Client_Config_Manager where i can determine which clients are having a problem?
I don't think we are having DNS issues ... at least none related to any you've covered.
SMS_LAN_SENDER - I only have one sender (two SMS servers for now ... will be deploying secondary servers out to some new sites soon). I did just delete 2 secondary sites, would that be causing this? The SMS_LAN_SENDER is set for Maximum concurrent sendings: All sites - 5, Per site - 3. Retry settings: Number of retries - 2 and Delay before retrying - 1 min.
Thanks for your help once again Gladys! GlobalStrata Solutions is very lucky to someone like you working for them.
