Is it possible to have a search box on my site without having to use a database? Where can I find some information on this?

THANKS!

I suppose it could be done with exec() and grep or something. I'd suggest a database, though, even if it's something simple like htdig (

You could have it search your webiste's filenames although that would be kind of limiting.

You could also try to have a text file with keywords associated to specific things or pages.

However I doubt you'll find a packcaged deal ready to deploy, more than likeley you'll have to program it.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

Not sure what you're looking for here, but I once worked on a site where the host did not allow databases or any server-side scripting. I wound up having to build a database and search engine using XML files and a javascript parser. It worked well but definitely suffered performance hits as the size of the XML files grew.
