Hi there, i was wanting some feedback on the websites that i am currently working on, if you please give honest opinions about the websites, also to check for any broken links, missing images etc, thanks very much for all your help.

I don't have the time to review both of them so here are a few comments about the second one. You asked for honest, so here it is:

Firstly, the home link never is actually a link, currently I have no way to return to the home page other than my back button.

Current project: It looks to me that this should be clickable, but it's not. Arrows give the impression that there is more data, but there isn't.

About me: I wait for the page to load, then I have to wait for the text to appear bit by bit. Animations like this are fine for not essential content but the page text is doing this. Why add extra time for your visitors to see the text?

Portfolio: 4 bars, only 1 actually leads anywhere. Just have the one site listed until you have more to put there, rather than giving the impression that there are 4.

Contact: Again, I have to wait but this time for an email to appear from all directions, bit by bit. This might seem cool but it is very annoying and you don't want to put off customers when they are trying to contact you.

Hope this helps

Wullie

thanks wullie for your honest opinions, much appreicted, i have tookin in what you have said about the dealy on information, just a few questions to ask.

1. As the information is done in flash, which is why its taking so long, should i put in a loader to let the user know whats going on?

2. Or should i not use flash, and just use html for the information.

3. What about the design of the website, the look, colors etc?

If someone could review the top link, that would be much apprecited.

thanks

Looked at the other site. Technically pretty assured, but I found the white-on-burgundy text quite tiring to read. It also seems a shame to tie up so much screen space with eye-candy as to force the actual content into a tiny window.

Gallery page - Why make the thumbnails more difficult to make out than they have to be? How about some titles to tell us what we're looking at? Would be nice to integrate some suitable pictures into the other pages.

The site as a whole needs a title page - you're rather dropped into it without knowing what it's all about.

Couple quick comments ont he second link... the edward one...

The home link doesn't seem to work... and I feel as if I click anywhere on that current project tile, I should get to see your current project... but I don't... additionally at one point you have an animated arrow going from left to right, directly next to a link, if possible I'd add the ability for clicking on that to take you to the link.

Other point is I run my monitors as 1280x1024 so I can get more content, but regardless of my resolution I always get the same content, just at different sizes.

I echo the title page comment too.

G'luck, and realize I'm only pointing out negatives, don't have the time to tell you what's nice :)

I like both sites. They're good first shots.
