Hi,

Can you please give a review and tell me what you think.

It should not have any horizontal scrolling at 800 x 600 and should be compatible with NS4+, IE, Mozilla, Opera 5+ for windows and NS4+, IE5+, Opera, and Safari for the Mac

Thanks alot!

Nate,

I thought your site was excellent. One of my colleagues even commented on how good she thought it was. This is really petty stuff, but a couple of things came to mind:

Pictures - the pictures are good but it would be nice if you could click on them to enlarge them and maybe have a caption explaining what we are looking at.

Membership screen - would there be any benfit in letting the user register online?

The Road (live) link was a little slow to launch - but I don't suppose there's too much that you can do about that.

Regards,
Tom

Site looks good, very professional,

2 things I noticed.

Your "Club History" pdf loads, but is flip floped.

A bug:

This is what I did, I loaded your website, then clicked on your "club history" let the pdf load then I clicked on the back button to go back to your site then I clicked on "about us" and a PHP error happens on the page. I'm using IE6 on WinXP.

Hi SPYDERIX
Very nice work!
I viewed in
1024* res WinNT IE5.5
800* res WinXP IE6.0
both res also in NN6.2+
About the most I thought of was centering to the screen and it would be cool to get the weather report in the site insterad of a redirect.

I like the error handling on the form. the redding out is a nice touch.
Images all fit nicly into the pages. I like how you keep the main body image in teh same location through the site.

[thumbup2]as usual to you

I like it!!
Only one thing: i'd center the site, instead of having it left-aligned, other then that, I like it... [smile] Forget the Nobel Peace prize, I just want to take over the world!! [hammer]

tomkane,

Pictures Good idea I think I will do that
Membership My client only wanted the .pdf for now, and is discussing the idea of online membership at their AGM (it is a strong possibility though, just not at the moment)
Road Link Not my site

mrgreed,

How do I get that straight upwards?

I don't get that bug you speak of, what is the actual error?

onpnt,

I thought about centering it, but the DIV's for the weather conditions were screwing up, and I'm not quite sure how to get the weather from that site to view in this one, very good idea though, I had thought of it b4 but wasn't sure how I would do it. Any suggestions on that?

I have used that form handling on the message board too, that was the hardest part, with all the regex involved.

guju,

DIV's were screwing up when centered

Thanks everyone!

SPYDERIX,

Not sure how to get your PDF, looking right but I think it has to do when you create the PDF file.

The Error is: (and I can get it each time I visit)

"kj@<&Z*AJJAkeiT(Tun@KarJP,+*5!3tcpkd*UfU 'Zf[qNR'AiV9?+Tf\AkebA#1ajjc.1Uh!aM5cNB]&K>dM9FugZX%\O6!N)fUM!2E&M!2E&P/sFh8V.4#JdIS13DbNfLm*qL1*?seoTM+&Lc@.BMSN.7)':*aHkFDt5qt[oU)CulOkOK>M,.#k>ll/qW/-7`dt['/OpEC)'I/X'1_q#:KId]Pi0au`cHO[h7mqGh7!&d!]R\\1#f2o6On(\+aS7r:BU6YJkU9KIhN+q4n0]f+D_P%#Uj(`ab3+es1U]5/$%>2s%GQ!>S?\;HCR":.:s]6?_sNZbgs8N-4D%?qm'EZ55d7mr_25"E]i+#?]8E+MRT[r0r:)>j>UA99#k)He6%6s=@tdi&JK9%)<.K5nD_U\EKhO6u?5K-B?U6^0Ul9;'EI_j!/KPle>[3r_k;;(W%Z6lD7%KL\[kLpF)q9dNkZX(a6' ct!V>(Ij3((ZHYK\q`%90Af0?hP!7nQL5qQOAF[TZ3+d!+[H^sq --3e8362683e2a-- HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Thu, 27 Mar 2003 20:43:25 GMT Server: Apache/1.3.14 (Unix) PHP/4.2.3 mod_ssl/2.7.1 OpenSSL/0.9.5a X-Powered-By: PHP/4.2.3 Keep-Alive: timeout=15, max=99 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html d62 "

Your page still displays but the above "garbage" sits at the top of your page, your page is pushed down, and then becomes out-of-wack because of the text above.

Again I'm using IE6 with winXP, I have Visual studio 6.0 installed and IIS server. Not sure if those combinations make the difference.

Happens on my win2000 machine also I have IE6 on that and Microsoft .net, and IIS.

Here's what I noticed repeat my error step I mention in my first coment above in this thread, If you perform it twice then the error happens.

Hope that helps.

Ted,

Thanks so much, that's wicked, that will be so much better than the link to their site, much more professional looking too.

Thanks so much!!!

Very nice looking site. My personal preference would be for menu options to become brighter rather than darker when you mouse-over them. Be aware too that you could have achieved the same look with CSS and plain text instead of an inage rollover.

Don't waste your time trying to rotate that history PDF ther right way up, Just convert it to HTML and make it a normal page within the site. A 200K download to get a page and a half of plain text is just pointless.

The trail map on the Facilities page is a good size for printing, but unwieldy to look at online. I'd like to see a shrunk-down version that you can use within your normal page design (you'd have to get rid of a lot of the text as it will be illegible, perhaps make it an image map so trail names & distances appear on mouseover). You can then have a link to the full-size map, probably in a new window, and definitely with a warning that its 380K. Did you try storing it as a gif?

Finally, another personal preference, don't use underlining in headings and do use them in links. Underline=Link is one of the few design standards we have! -- Chris Hunt

Really good website, I like it.

The only thing that jumped out at me was how close the text is to the pictures in each screen.

Other than that excellant!

Just tried to access the site and getting the old MSIE "Page cannot be displayed" error. Mighty :)

Chrishunt,

I will look at all those things you mentioned. Thanks!

Mighty,

It works for me, try it again, perhaps the server was down where it's hosted.

Thanks everyone!
